These Terms govern your use of the Stock Backtester website ("Stock Backtester," "we," "us," or "our"). By using the website, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live.
The service
Stock Backtester provides precomputed historical simulations, charts and performance statistics for general research. It does not connect to brokerage accounts, execute orders, hold funds or send trading instructions.
No financial advice
The website is not investment, legal or tax advice. Stock Backtester is not acting as your investment adviser, broker or fiduciary. Nothing on the website is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any security. You are responsible for your own decisions and should consult qualified professionals when appropriate.
Hypothetical results
Backtests apply preset rules to historical data and benefit from hindsight. They do not represent an actual account and cannot predict future performance. Results may overstate returns because real trading can involve different prices, liquidity, taxes, delays, fees and market impact. Review the methodology and disclosures before interpreting any result.
Data and accuracy
Market data and calculations may be incomplete, delayed, corrected or wrong. Corporate actions and provider revisions can change historical values. We do not guarantee that any result is accurate, current, complete or suitable for a particular purpose. Independently verify information before relying on it.
Permitted use
You may use the website for lawful personal, educational or internal business research. You may not disrupt the service, bypass security or rate limits, submit harmful code, use automated traffic that degrades availability, or reproduce the service or its data as a competing product without permission.
Ownership and third-party rights

Our aggregate liability arising from the service will not exceed US$50.
Indemnification
You agree to defend and hold harmless Stock Backtester and its officers, employees and agents from claims, losses and reasonable expenses arising from your misuse of the website, violation of these Terms or infringement of another person's rights.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by Louisiana law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any court proceeding that is not subject to a different mandatory venue must be brought in a state or federal court located in Louisiana.
General terms
If one provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them as part of a merger, reorganization or asset transfer. These Terms and the Privacy Policy form the entire agreement concerning the website.
Changes and contact
