Scope
This Policy explains how Stock Backtester ("we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use the website. The website is available without creating an account and does not connect to your brokerage or obtain your holdings.
Information you provide
If you contact us, we receive the information you send, such as your name, email address and message. Do not send brokerage credentials, account numbers or other sensitive financial information.
Information collected automatically
When you visit, our hosting and security providers may process standard technical information such as IP address, browser and device type, requested pages, timestamps, referring page and approximate location. We measure backtest views, selected tickers and strategies, assumption changes, chart engagement, table sorting, expanded metrics, indicator navigation, outbound links and scroll depth. We do not use this information to place trades or build a financial profile about you.
Analytics and cookies
Google Analytics is enabled by default on the public website. We send page titles and clean page paths without query strings, referring domains and the product-usage events described above. Google Analytics also collects session, browser and device information and derives approximate geography such as country, region and city. Google Signals may provide aggregated cross-device, demographic and interest reporting when a visitor is signed in to Google and has allowed Ads Personalization. We do not enable advertising personalization or send names, email addresses, user IDs, raw search-box text or form contents. You can turn analytics off through “Privacy choices.” We do not sell personal information or use the website for behaviorally targeted advertising.
How we use information
We use information to operate and secure the website, measure performance, prevent abuse, diagnose errors, answer messages, improve features, enforce our Terms and comply with legal obligations.
How information is shared
We may share limited information with vendors that provide hosting, security, analytics and communications services; with authorities when legally required; or with a successor in a merger, financing, acquisition or asset sale. Vendors may process information only for the services they provide. We do not rent or sell personal information to data brokers.
Retention
We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here, including security, support and legal obligations. Retention periods vary by data type and provider. We may keep aggregated or de-identified statistics that no longer identify an individual.
Your choices and rights

Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no internet service is completely secure. You use the website at your own risk and should not submit sensitive financial or authentication information.
Children
Stock Backtester is not directed to people under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Contact us if you believe a minor has provided information so we can address it.
International processing
Stock Backtester and its service providers may process information in the United States and other countries, where privacy laws may differ from those where you live.
